The uranium deposit discovered near Mt Shanahan was tested at depth by one diamond drill hole. Diamond drilling has proved unsuccessful in the recovery of lode material, but the radiometric log indicates a well defined anomaly at a depth of 51-54 ft, though the intensity and width of the intersected radioactive zone appears to be insignificant.
