A strong discolouration of the sea near Ceduna was reported by the Minister of Agriculture who requested an investigation. The discolouration is causing concern to the local professional fishermen and has been inspected or reported on by the Harbours Board and the Department of Fisheries and Game. The discolouration occurred previously in 1946 and also "a long time ago" as report by Captain J, Thomson of Port Adelaide, who has done some exploring in the area.
