The survey of Lower Yorke Peninsula was conducted between the 14th and 23rd February 1955 taking 25 hours flying time and covered the land areas of the one mile military sheets of Curramulka, Stansbury, Edithburg, Turton, Coonarie, Deberg and Pondalowie. The northern section of the Peninsula was previously covered by the Bureau of Mineral Resources. The mosaics used were assembled by the Drafting Section and the results were reduced by the computing staff of the Geophysical Section.
