Samples from surface to depth 10 feet at Peesey's Swamp were examined in connection with a brine investigation and to compare the faunas with those of Eocene paralic sediments containing foraminifera. Two district communities are represented of mid-recent and sub-recent age. Neither shows any resemblance to faunas of the Eocene paralic sediments.
