Test boring (machine auger and percussion) to 100 feet for a new library at the Supreme Court, Adelaide, shows approximately 50 feet of clay on 30 feet of limestone overlying silts. The uppermost clays (10-24 feet) are plastic and are underlaid by stiff silty clays. "Undisturbed" samples of the clays were obtainable for testing by Engineering and Water Supply Department.
