Following the discovery, drilling and grouting of a large cavity in the proposed foundation area for the green milling section of the Mt Gambier Government sawmill, a second large cavity was found in the same area. A further 29 diamond drill holes were completed around the north-western perimeter of the building. No major cavities were encountered during the drilling, and it was concluded that no further major cavities were likely to influence the construction.
