The attempted development of the Pine Point white clay for industrial use is described, including percussion boring in 1950 and 1956. The 1956 programme, though not completed because no sale can be found for the clay, shows that approximately 50,000 tons of fine white clay above high water mark is available for extraction. This clay would be 99% kaolinite.
