Most of the area has a shallow mantle of soil overlying jointed bedrock, a material of high bearing capacity. Most house sites will require benching, but a few may be utilised without special preparation. In two small, localised areas the possibility of landslip is indicated. Soil creep is likely to prove a nuisance in roadway maintenance. Foundation conditions in this area are superior to those pertaining to topographically similar areas elsewhere in the Adelaide suburbs.
