Quartzites, sandstones, phyllitic slates and quartz arkeritic dolomite belonging to the Stonyfell Quartzite and “upper phyllites” formations of the Torrensian series in the Adelaide System rocks occur in the above sections. Quartzite and sandstone reserves available are estimated at about 50% of the calculated volume of 3.5 million cubic yards. Beds exposed in the quarry and in the western part of the section are thought to be overturned to the west.
