Three diamond drillholes recently completed at the Blue Hole crocidolite deposits, located 3 miles north-west of Robertstown, indicate the limited nature of the mineralisation. Boring proved that the asbestos-bearing biotite-albite-hornblende veins replacing dolomite country rocks extend below the surface for a depth of 85 feet, and that they occur in a number of small disconnected masses. Metallurgical treatment of core samples indicates that the drill cores contain less crocidolite than a near-surface bulk sample taken earlier.
