Mr. M.L. Norton, private prospector, discovered davidite in association with a narrow pegmatite vein within diopside gneiss on Section 328, Hundred Jutland, some 8 miles east of Mount Pleasant. The area surrounding the claim has been mapped and, although no further davidite was seen, mineralisation in the form of barren quartz and narrow pegmatite veins is widely developed throughout the area.
