Analyses of samples of some Recent and Tertiary limestone deposits on Yorke Peninsula indicate that none of the samples are within the specifications for use in open hearth firing of blast furnaces. The required tonnage could readily be proved, but since at the present time there appears to be no simple and economic beneficiation process to upgrade the rock, no further field work on these deposits is recommended for now.
