All the talc deposits investigated occur in schistose dolomite in the Sturtian Series, near the upper or lower limits of a massive interglacial dolomite horizon. Reserves in sight are limited, and further underground exploration of the Nos 4 and 5 talc deposits by shaft sinking, drilling and cross cutting is desirable and should be carried out without delay. Leslie’s claim is worked out, and no further work on this deposit is warranted.
