A deposit of limestone situated adjacent to the south bank of the River Onkaparinga, 4 miles NE of Noarlunga, has been tested by diamond drilling to prove its suitability for road building. The good quality of the stone has been confirmed, although the presence of infolded synclinal keels of the overlying slate will influence the selection of a quarry site.
