Eight quartzite horizons occur in the area mapped. These are interbedded with micaceous sandstones, siltstones and mica schists in the Sturtian Series of the Adelaide System. Total reserves in four of the quartzite horizons designated Nos. 2, 5, 6...

Eight quartzite horizons occur in the area mapped. These are interbedded with micaceous sandstones, siltstones and mica schists in the Sturtian Series of the Adelaide System. Total reserves in four of the quartzite horizons designated Nos. 2, 5, 6 and 7 are expected to exceed 400,000 cu. Yards, assuming each horizon is quarried to a depth of 65 feet below present outcrop. Some of the sandstone may be suitable for crushing an aggregate and some for sand production.
