The report describes the progress made to September 1st 1960 of a survey of stone deposits within a 50 mile radius of the Chowilla Damsite. It is concluded that only shallow deposits of variable quality will be available within 30 miles of the site but much thicker beds of good quality stone occur in several places between 30 and 50 miles. Recommendations for further investigation are made.
