An inspection of the above deposit has revealed that the present pit is located in the keel of a synclinal fold in pink marble of Cambrian age. Because of strong jointing and weathering along the joint planes, blocks of suitable size hare not been obtained to date. The operators hare been advised to advance the pit northerly and north westerly into the hill and along a flank of the synclinal structure.
