Two magnetite-martite deposits occur in Archaean metamorphic on Section 85, Hundred Myponga. The smaller (south-western) occurrence consists of scattered float and is on no economic significance. The larger (eastern) occurrence contains about 50,000 tons of ore (assaying 40-45% iron) above lowest outcrop. It is unlikely that either deposit can be exploited economically at present.
