This report refers to a manganese claim which is one of two referred to in a letter from V.M.M. Lyford dated July 25th (D.M. 1278/61) requesting a geological survey. An earlier report (53/66) deals with a survey of the other claim. The claim was examined on October 5th, 1961. Three samples were taken and have been submitted for assay, but because of the brecciated mature of the deposit it was decided not to undertake a formal survey.
