This project has been directed towards treating the low-grade ironstone constituting the Braemar Iron Formation. Report AMDL-111 dealt with the reduction by hydrogen of small solid cylinders of ironstone cut from surface samples. Report AMDL-189 discusses the reduction by hydrogen and by carbon monoxide-carbon dioxide mixtures of beds of crushed surface ironstone. The present report deals with the subsequent magnetic separation of this material. Work on this surface sample ceased when a sample of the banded ironstone from the Razorback Ridge adit was received. The experimental work on the adit sample will be the subject of a further report.
