Investigation of the deposit owned by Rosewall Sand and Quarrying Co Ltd, into the pressing and extrusion behaviour gives promising results but potential difficulties, such as the relatively low strength of ware in the green and fired state and variation in the fired colour. Variety of different materials exist in the deposit and it would best be utilized by blending and stock piling. Systematic drilling is recommended to prove quantity, quality and consistency.
