Dolomitisation of Tertiary Gambier Limestone along the Nelson Fault is irregular. Diamond drilling of four holes at a prospect on Section 333, Hundred of Caroline, shows that dolomite which is hard and dense at the surface passes down into partially dolomitised limestone and weakly consolidated sugary dolomite. Reserves of stone suitable for use as road aggregate amount to a minimum 18000 cubic metres.
