This investigation was carried out on July 23rd, 1963 following a request by Mr L.G. Wyman of Cheesman, Doley, Brabham and Neighbour, Architects. It is proposed to construct a new office block for the Highways and Local Government Department at Naracoorte, and information is required on the subsurface foundation conditions at the site. The new building will be located to the west of the existing offices at Naracoorte, and is to be a single storey structure of clay brick with a maximum wall height 11'0". Two test pits were examined and the profiles and foundation conditions discussed with Mr. Mackenzie, District Engineer, and Mr L.J. Wyman of the consulting architects.
