A percussion test bore (depth of 86 feet) was put down to investigate the site of a proposed silo at Karoonda. The materials intersected by the bore are fill, a sandy clay soil horizon and sediments (Parilla Sand). Water was not cut in the foundation bore, however, Bore TH (depth to 900 feet) the supply was in excess of 10,000 gallons per day and the water contained 2,200 p.p.million.
