The results of test drilling of two shallow bore holes at Naracoorte are set out. Sand and clay fill covers Recent clays at the site. A kunkar horizon is developed below 5 feet in Bore 2, while at the base of both boreholes are fossiliferous clays. Severe shrinkage and swelling movements may occur in the clays.
