Geological mapping, on a scale of 1" represents 440 feet and sampling of Lower Marinoan and Upper Sturtian sediments was carried out as a result of anomalous aeromagnetic values occurring within the sections listed above. From surface investigations a probable cause of the anomaly appears to be a magnetic Hornfels bed and magnetite occurring in low concentrations in the underlying quartzites. Soil and outcrop sampling submitted for spectrographic analysis showed little evidence of any concentrated mineralisation.
