Auger boring on a gypsum dune north-east of Morgan has proved 1 000 000 cubic metres of crude gypsum. Total reserved within MLs 665 and 678 exceed this value as the gypsum extends outside the area tested. 300 000 cubic metres of flour gypsum, averaging 83.6% CaSO4.2H2O, overlie 700 000 cubic metres of seed gypsum, averaging 75.6% CaSO4.2H2O. The underlying gypseous clay is too low grade to warrant exploitation.
