A geological and topographical survey has been carried out on a number of lenticular barytes bodies which cross-cut schists and dolomites. Open cut mining of the bodies has previously been abandoned. Underground mining to follow the lode appears to be the only feasible method for further recovery, but the deposits are unlikely to prove of economic value.
