RB 60/00111 River Murray drainage investigation. Progress report no. 2 - stratigraphy and micropalaeontology of bores and surface sections.

Stratigraphic data are provided for: Waikerie Pumping Station - cliff section, Waikerie Bore No. 1, Waikerie Bore No. 1A, Ramco Heights Bore No. 1, Sunlands Pumping Station - cliff section, Sunlands Bore No. 2 and Tolleys Rising Main section (all in Hundred of Waikerie); Cadell Bore No. 1 (Hundred of Cadell); and Blanchetown Bore No. 6 (Hundred of Paisley). Pata Limestone is recorded from outcrop at Sunlands Pumping Station, and in Ramco Heights Bore No. 1, both of which are located in structural lows associated with the Cadell Monocline. A marl forming the upper part of the Morgan Limestone in the Waikerie - Sunlands area has a thickness of approximately 22 feet at Waikerie Pumping Station, 30 feet at Waikerie Bore No. 1, 35 feet at Ramco Heights Bore No. 1, and 71 feet at Sunlands Bore No. 2. Clays (marls) perhaps equivalent to the Finniss Clay occur at the bottom of Waikerie Bore No. 1, probably near the Morgan-Mannum boundary.
