A re-examination of the induced polarisation (I.P.) grids covering the Ediacara Mineral field clearly reveals that many of the reported anomalies are extremely doubtful, as they have been based upon insufficient data, incorrect presentation of data or in one case, incorrect data. Contrary to what has been reported earlier, it can be demonstrated that there is a correlation between the true I.P. anomalies and mineralisation.
