This report has been written to assist the Geochemical Section which is about to commence on exploration programme in Mt Davies and adjoining areas. The report lists the available information related to geochemical exploration which has not yet been issued in a formal final report. Investigations at AMDEL on the more fundamental aspects of the petrography and geochemistry of the crystalline basement rocks and a special study of the derivation of lateritic profiles in Giles Complex rocks are expected to be completed shortly. The final report on the results of the work carried out under the writer’s supervision and the account of Southwestern Mining activities will then be prepared for publication.
