Water bore No. 1 located at Immanuel College in Camden Park, 4½ miles south-west of Adelaide, was sunk to a total depth of 350 feet on a portion of the Para Fault Block bounded by two splinters of the Para Fault. Recent to Pleistocene clays overlie Hallett Cove Sandstone, with minor development of shelly facies of the Dry Creek Sands within this unit. From 291 feet the bore penetrated Port Willunga Beds, which contain a Bairnsdalian (Middle Miocene) fossil fauna over the depth interval 314 – 324 feet, the youngest yet recorded from these beds.
