An area mapped near the eastern edge of Lake Torrens, west of Beltana, South Australia, contains the Ediacara Mineral Field and folded Lower Cambrian and Upper Precambrian rocks of the Adelaide Geosyncline. A seismic survey on an east-west line indicates a fault with a displacement of 800 feet. Field evidence suggests the fault trends north-south and turns eastward in the south. Brecciation and barytes mineralisation are probably associated with it.
