A brief investigation was carried out by the author on 10th February, 1966 to establish the sample location of specimens P/520 A and B, collected during 1962, which had been submitted for spectrographic analysis (Report AN 1286/63) and had revealed anomalous copper and lead values. This particular rock sample was collected from float of Gawler Range Porphyry in an area of no outcrop, adjacent to a ridge of older Precambrlan quartzite on the Buckleboo H.S. – Coralbignie road. A brief petrologlcal report on the original specimens is included.
