Drilling of two vertical diamond drill holes at S.A. Portland Cement’s Bald Hill quarry has confirmed surface geological information, which indicates that the marble beds are steeply dipping, and should extend to depths sufficient to meet the requirements of the Company for many years to come. Both holes were drilled to a depth of 250 feet, but each failed to reach the bottom of the deposit. Because the direction of drilling closely approaches bedding, cores obtained are not representative of the marble deposit.
