In an area mapped and tested by diamond drilling metamorphosed Precambrian (Flinders group) sediments include interbedded lenses of marble, quartz-feldspar gneiss and brown re-crystallised arkosic sandstone. Laboratory examination suggests that they should be suitable generally for use as road construction aggregate. Reserves have been calculated at 230,000 cubic yards under 23,500 cubic yards of overburden.
