Most of the geochemical copper anomalies outlined by soil sampling in the Mount Coffin Diapir area are attributed to secondary dispersion of copper by weathering from epigenetic sources of low economic importance. One anomaly, caused by mineralised dolomites occurring as rafted small blocks within the diapir, which lie near the unconformity at the base of the Yundanutana Sub-Group, is considered to be of greater significance, and here diamond drilling is recommended. The possible much larger buried source of the copper sulphide - bearing dolomites is of particular economic importance, and is worthy of further investigation.
