An investigation of foundation conditions for a proposed Satellite Tracking Station about 19 miles northeast of Ceduna was carried out. Investigations at the site have included an inspection of the area with officers of the Overseas Telecommunications Commission to determine possible sites for the station, a seismic refraction survey, four diamond drill holes (DH 1 to 4) totalling 106 ft. and three test pits, 5 to 5.5 ft. deep.
