Approximately 1000 geochemical drainage samples have been collected in two areas within the Stirling - Clarendon project area. Twelve square miles have been sampled in the Lenswood area at an average density of 27 samples to the square mile, and 26 square miles in the Cherry Gardens – Clarendon area at an average density of 25 samples to the square mile. Several anomalous zones have been proved, some associated with known mineralisation and others away from areas of known mineralisation. Soil sampling has been carried out in the Lenswood area and also in the Almanda mine area. An extensive anomaly has been proved near the mine and further geological mapping, geochemistry and geophysics is recommended over this area. Geological mapping in the vicinity of the Almanda mine has proved downfaulting of the Stonyfell Quartzite against the Aldgate Sandstone, and has defined a crush zone associated with the Willunga Fault.
