The purpose of this report is to assess the potential groundwater resources of the area using existing data in the Mines Department records. A previous assessment (HICKS), using a different approach, produced a quantity for groundwater safe yield which is far in excess of that which can be produced by aquifer analysis. The two methods of approach emphasise the need for a detailed investigation of the region.
