Ballast sources on southern Yorke Peninsula are listed and discussed with reference to quality and availability. Further work required to define reserves at each site is indicated. Cambrian limestones are available near Ardrossan and Curramulka but not further south. Recrystallised Tertiary bryozoal limestone and calcrete offer the only sources in the vicinity of Port Giles.
