2 sites on major supply streams to Mt Bold Reservoir were investigated by surface geological examination and seismic refraction surveys. The sites show some outcrops of strong sandstone but elsewhere are covered by alluvium. The sites appear suitable although at least 1 abutment will be in alluvium at each site and some leakage is likely.
