The bore penetrated Coomandook Formation, Gambier Limestone, Lacepede Formation and Knight Formation including Burrungule Member. The three-part structure of the Gambier Limestone in the Oligocene might be formalized as members, and two zones are proposed for the Upper Oligocene. The Lacepede Formation extends well into the Oligocene. Planktonic foraminiferal horizons in the Middle and Upper Eocene are found in other sections, and lead to a revision of the present biostratigraphic system used in this part of the Otway Basin.
