On the basis of the contained benthonic and planktonic foraminifera, the sample represents strata of Lower Miocene and also possibly Middle Miocene age (Longfordian, Batesfordian, and possibly Balcombian Stages) in Morgan - Mannum limestones, Murray Group, Murray Basin. Because of the dearth of material available from hundred of Makin, further samples and bore details are requested.
