Further investigations for the Flinders Medical Centre consisted of geological mapping, trenching, seismic refraction surveys and five diamond drill holes to 23 m deep. This work confirmed the general distribution of geological materials across the site. It was concluded that the less weathered tillite could provide an adequate foundation for the proposed multi-storey buildings.
