Three samples of quartz-bearing lime sands comprised from 80% to 95% angular crystalline limestone grains whose lithology and microfauna are consistent with outwash from Oligocene Gambier Limestone. An origin in Eocene Knight (Tartwaup) Formation can be confidently excluded for this, lime-grain component, and cannot be maintained with confidence for any of the remaining constituents although much more work would be needed to prove the point. A note is included on the "Knight versus Tartwaup" nomenclatural problem.
