A masonary house at Tarana Road, Hope Valley, S.A with a "W.&G. No. 2" foundation movement in 1968. The regional geology of the area is outlined and results of the geological investigation consisting of two hand auger holes are presented. The geological conditions encountered are compared with those determined in the foundation investigation for the house. In association with observed and reported damage a cause of failure is suggested.
