Three bodies of basic rock believed to be equivalent to the Giles Complex were located near the southern margin of the Marryat Shear. I.P., V.L.F.E.M AND T.M.I were used to site a diamond drill hole, targeted at nickel mineralization. Only minor pyrite was intersected and the bodies were deemed to be of no economic importance.
