Results of two diamond drill holes, a seismic survey and one cable tool hole, indicate that this valley site is suitable for an arch dam, or a mass concrete or rockfill dam. A grout curtain will be necesary. A glacial channel on the right abutment ridge contains mainly clayey sand through which leakage is unlikely.
