A letter was received from the Highways Department dated 13th April, 1973 requesting this Department to sink and pump test a 6 inch bore oh Section 4442 Hd. of Macclesfield. (Figure 1) This is a replacement bore for a Mrs. M.G. Paech whose present bore will be covered by the freeway. The bore was sunk in early June 1973 and was subsequently subjected to step-drawdown and constant rate pumping tests. These have been used to determine safe pumping rates and the drawdowns anticipated with same. Caliper, gamma and neutron geophysical logs were run prior to the pump tests.
